I always thought bad breath in the morning was normal

DH and I always brushed our teeth before any morning shanigans. His breath was fine the rest of the time, but horrible first thing. I brushed mine because my mouth didn't feel so fresh, and I assumed I was the same.

New DP is lovely to kiss from the moment he wakes, and seems very happy to kiss me too!

What your eating can affect the smell of breath and hormones can also have an affect. Everyone is different, some smellier than others

I don't get any morning shenanigans these days but I brush my teeth all the same.

I've always brushed my teeth when I get up. That won't change, but it seems it's not as necessary as I thought before getting up.

Sounds like an 80s nightclub

It's always like that at the beginning though, isn't it? Lust makes us nose blind!

That said, I was with one guy who didn't have morning breath. It smelt sweet and pleasant which was highly unusual.

Perhaps he sleeps with his mouth tightly closed all night? I think open mouth breathing and snoring can make your breath worse. I’ve never been with anyone who didn’t have morning breath and sometimes mine is awful 😭

Some people have bad breath in the mornings and some don’t. Not sure what it has to do with shenanigans or sex.
