Please explain weightloss medication to me like I'm a small child?

So I'm overweight and I'm really, really feeling it in my health and I know I need to loose 5/6 stone. I've always had a massive appetite even though I know what I need to eat in order to eat well so from what I've read I feel like this could work well for me. I'm a single parent and feel like if I don't prioritise my health now then my kid really isn't going to get the best of me as an older mum.

However, I'm really overwhelmed with the amount of different types and information out there on weightless medication. I know I don't meet the criteria for gp prescription so I'll need to self fund but my question is - where did you start - how'd you know what the difference is between brands- can you switch between brands and do some have less side effects than others- how'd you get your information in a neutral and informed way and then how'd you go about actually getting the medication?

Any advice/tips etc you can give I'd really appreciate.

Thanks so much!

Mounjaro is the most effective of the WL meds with an up to 25% loss in body weight.
Works by increasing insulin and slowing metabolism so food stays in stomach longer making you feel fuller.

Not sure how the others work.
