Travelling in SE Asia - advice please

Would appreciate advice on this, my adult son is going travelling alone for approx 6 months, what would you recommend? Thinks I’ve thought of so far:

I keep copies of travel ins, passport, rough itinerary, flight tickets.
Air tags or similar in large and small bags - any recommendations as to brand?
He needs to know passwords/ log ins etc for bank and social media in case phone lost, stolen or broken.
He’s got an appt to discuss vaccines sorted

any other thoughts or advice welcome?

Take lots of hand sanitizer and he uses it every time he touches money.
When DS was going abroad I advised condoms.
