Who else is in education and back to work Monday?

I've had a lovely break, but looking forward to getting back to the routine of everything...

Me.
I've had 5 weeks off out of an 8 week summer holiday and it's been great but I need routine again!

Me, I’ve had 4.5 weeks off and would happily have had a few more!

I had three weeks off (FE Lecturer), been back for three already, feels like a distant memory 😥

It's gone so fast, hasn't it? By Friday, I'll feel like it never happened 🤣

I am absolutely dreading going back. Proper stomach lurching dread.

Me, I've had two weeks off(FE) no decent weather and not done a great deal due to family issues. I do love my job and college but not looking forward to the coming autumn/winter weather and travelling in the dark.

Me. Love my job but haven't done nearly as much work as I needed to sort am feeling very stressed.

Me! I really need routine back, I’ve become a slob this last week! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Don't work in the holidays.

Me too…. Feeling pretty anxious about what’s ahead. And it’s 8 weeks until half term 😭

I’m dreading it and keep searching for other job vacancies.

Me. I really don't want to (and two inset days ..ugh) But I know that I always feel this way and as soon as I'm actually back with the kids it's fine!

I went on on Friday to drop some stuff off so I could claim some room back and my classroom is a mess! I moved furniture and had things set up but I am now 2 children’s tables missing, mix n match chairs, my desk looks like it’s been on the piss as it’s been dragged across the room and now wobbles. It will take me half a day to put it right and that’s before I find these bloody tables.

I have done my planning for the first week, and some of the second week.

Mondays job is sort my display of transition day work, class webpage, catch up with partner teacher and then plan the rest of week 2 loosely.

We were saying recently that colleges are much nicer and tidier places without students 😆However, it will be nice to have them around the place again! It will be interesting to see if the fashions have changed, and if the mullet still reigns supreme (I mean, who let that out of the 1980's...?).

I really enjoy my job but absolutely dread the drive. I don’t finish until 4.30 and last year it was touch and go whether I took the train in December even though it would add an hour walking to and from the station.

Also it’s such a cycle. Lots of work at the beginning, stress after Christmas with all the stuff not covered, Easter and then the countdown to summer.

Don't! My son has gotten a 'modern mullet'. As long as he's happy 🤣
