Is Laderach chocolate safe for pregnant women?

I casually ate some Laderach chocolate today, not thinking to have to worry to check if it had pasteurised milk. I’ve been checking to see if they used pasteurised milk but it doesn’t say anywhere. They use powdered milk, but this can still carry listeria. Does anyone know if it’s pasteurised or not?? Losing my mind over this 😣

I don’t see how listeria could possibly survive in heated powdered milk . I have never heard of chocolate being a listeria risk ?

Hey- sounds like you’re really anxious about this.

I don’t know about the specifics but I’d suspect the chances of anything bad happening are really vanishingly small. This happens and it’s important to try and keep it in perspective. I appreciate that’s hard but pregnancy and motherhood bring so many things like this and managing your feelings of anxiety is actually most of the battle in my experience.

Have you ever heard of anyone contracting listeria from (expensive!) Swiss chocolates? Can you find any cases of it online?
If this is a serious question, then you need proper help for your anxiety.

It’s well known that pregnant women hardly ever eat chocolate for precisely this reason.

(😉you’ll be fine OP!)

I haven’t heard of it either, I think I’ve just been exposed to too much online. I think you’re definitely right and I’m overthinking this!

I do suffer from health anxiety so I appreciate your kind response.

Definitely did some overthinking here 😫
