What do you like to eat, and will your kids eat a smaller portion of normal food or are you looking for a place with a kids menu?

LisaNando · 29/08/2025 17:36

How old are the children?

As PP ^ posted, there is a guide to the cafes etc in that vicinity.

Are you looking for a restaurant or a cafe (coffee and sarnies etc)?

Many of the restaurants in CDY are pricey and can be busy.

What sort of food are you looking for? Trad 'English', Asian, etc?

I would look elsewhere, it is expensive there.

They might be minted or just want a special meal. It’s quite expensive but not horrendously so.

If you make your way down Euston Road there is a Prezzo opposite Euston Station.

Dishoom is always a winner in our house and the staff are lovely with the children. Edited to say, it is obviously a chain, not sure if you mind that?

cestlavielife · 29/08/2025 17:42

Brasserie has some cheaper options and the courgette fries are amazing you could just Have those

Parillan is fun grill your own

Albertini Restaurant is just off Euston Rd (10ish minute walk) and has lovely pizza/pasta and staff. If the weather is nice it has tables outside too, nice in the evening.

We’re not fussy, looking for a meal rather than a snack.
My son eats pretty large portions, we like Italian, Indian etc….

Casa pastor is nice if you like Mexican - make sure you book

Sausagescanfly · 29/08/2025 18:00

Fatto a Mano and Happy Face Pizza are both good for pizza.

Caravan is super nice imo and had a really varied menu of stuff from all over the world, good for sharing too if you like that. It's a chain but very nice quality.

Crunchymum · 29/08/2025 18:08

I like Morty and Bob's, Dishoom (I refuse to queue though), Casa Pastor and The Lighterman but don't bother with my kids as it's wasted on them. Also Caravan. Although I prefer the one in Exmouth Market to the one at Granary Square - if its still there?

Are you looking for this evening? Or another evening. Definitely book.

AlanJohnsonsBeemer · 29/08/2025 18:10

I like both Dishoom and Casa pastor. I think at this time of year I’d go for the latter as you can sit “outside” but it is covered and comfortable and they have heaters when it’s chilly
