Boring thread sorry - how can I compress a video to send?

I’ve just finished an assessment video I had to do for a course. It’s 57 minutes / 3GB in size.

I need to make it 100mb or less to upload to my college website.

I’ve never done this before, and all the hits coming up on Google as to how to do it take me to scammy looking websites.

Any tips gratefully received, just zipping it made no overall difference I don’t think?

I did this using the video editor built in on Microsoft. You have to fiddle about a little, but basically you just export it at a lower resolution and resave the project. That might be enough information for you to Google and get better instructions or wait for better advice!
