SafeSearch enable on phone and computer and no way to remove it - can anyone help??

I've noticed that sometimes I'm not able to access certain sites (not porn!!) when using my mobile or chromebook via my mobile data. I get the message saying "safesearch is locked to filter by your network or device".

On my phone, the message is "you can't change your safesearch setting at the moment because someone else, like a parent or administrator, controls settings on the network, browser or device that you are using"

I am the only person who uses my phone, ever. My mobile provider is ID Mobile - will it be anything to do with them? I've never set the safesearch facility on.

I have followed information on the net about how to change this but it leads me in circles. There seems no way to alter this but how can that be when it's only me??

I'm genuinely bamboozled by this - any assistance gratefully received!

I had to log into my internet provider account to turn it off.

Just watch porn on your laptop then......just joking. I would phone provider ask for advice, or take it in to one of the wee phone shops in high streets.

@MamaElephantMama - At the risk of sounding even more technologically backwards...how do I do that?

Just checked and when connected to home broadband (BT) it says Safesearch is OFF and I can see the options to blur or filter. So, it's only when using my mobile data (ID) that Safesearch is automatically on (on both laptop and phone).

It can't have anything to do with my Google account as it's the same when using home wifi or mobile data.
