Hi, I’m the mum of three adult children and the granny to 6 and we are all close. I spend lots of my time babysitting or dog sitting or helping out however I can, at their request. I try not to be controversial and always be approachable.
I spent a day over the weekend with two sons, a DIL and four grandchildren. I took loads of photos and shared them. One son and the other son’s wife have put reels on social media and I don’t appear on one photo. It’s hit me like a bolt from the blue that the only photos I am ever in are when I ask if someone will take a photo that includes me with grandchildren or a group photo. I’m quite tearful now that they don’t have photos of me and images that they save from family time won’t even show that I was there.
I just have to get on with it, don’t I. Perhaps I’ll have to remember to ask in future.
