SOS! Help me save my favourite shoes

I have two pairs of shoes that I love, they look gorgeous and go with everything. I've worn them out and about all summer, and plan to take them on my holiday to Italy next week.

But in the last week I've worn them both out on longer walks and my feet are SHREDDED. I've got blisters on both, mainly on the backs of my heels. One rubs right at the top, and one rubs right at the base.

I've tried sticking some padded stuff (I don’t know what it's actually called) in there, and it worked for a day or so but has come off, and I don't want to be faffing around sticking it in there each day.

Is there anything I can use that will stick into my shoes, stop them from rubbing and mean I can wear them on holiday?! I just need something that sticks to the back of my shoe, but everything I see online looks to be gel cushions, and in my experience of them they come off within a day or so too!

Can't you just put plasters on your feet to cover the blistered area?

What kind of shoes are they?

One pair of new balances, one adidas

@ApolloandDaphnethe only issue is I find that unless I have an active blister, the plasters don’t stick and they’re expensive to keep replacing everyday!

Compeed do an anti-blister stick which someone was raving about on another thread. Apparently it's a non greasy balm that acts as a barrier between your feet and the shoe.

Might be worth a try!

I use that but find it’s more preventative than cure. It is fab though.

op,if your feet are in shreds then plasters and thick socks and shoes that don’t rub. It will take time to heal

You need compeed and you could also try blister powder which is expensive but very good. Why are they rubbing so badly, do they fit? You need to size up for trainers.

If you are going to be doing a lot of walking, leave those shoes at home. I learned to my cost that no amount of fiddling with cushioned heel grips, air cushioned insoles, blister stuff etc. prevented agony in the end.

If you are just wearing them on a night out, then try the cushioned heel grips (they can be put anywhere inside the shoe I found!). Whatever you decide, if your solution is self stick protectors, get a roll of double sided tape and use that. It is great for keeping things stuck down, especially in shoes. Ask me how I know....

They fit like a glove! The new balances pinch a little at the top, the adidas just rub so badly, but weirdly the red ones I have fit perfectly. I think I just have super sensitive feet
