Good Morning - What’s Everyone Up To Today?

Hope lucysmam doesn’t mind but I thought it might be nice to do an extra thread as it’s Bank Holiday Monday. I’m feeling a bit under the weather but not giving into it. Just at my folks’ house whist DF has gone food shopping. DM is having a bad morning so has gone back to bed. DF isn’t feeling brilliant either - I offered to do the shopping but he’s a creature of habit & also says it’s easier to go himself rather than try to explain what he needs. I do worry about them both. There’s a bit of washing up to do so I’ll sort that in a min. Dropping DD16 at the station later to go & visit a friend then DH & I will go for a walk & have a drink in a beer garden. I fancy AF gin & tonic. DH is cleaning the bathroom at some point. I have a t shirt to parcel up which will be posted tomorrow. Nice easy tea of ham, egg & chips. Probably watch a film tonight.Have a lovely day all.

I was just looking to see if @lucysmam had done a thread this morning, if I remember right you have a gig today? Hope you’re having a fabulous bank hol!

We are chilling after a late one with family yesterday. Going to go through the kids’ rooms with them shortly and try to get rid of some stuff! Sort through their clothes and see what can go to my friend. BBQ this afternoon just the four of us. Dd is off on a school residential this week and dp is away with work the weekend so bbq and a film is on the cards.

Kids are currently on their 30th argument of the week so after writing this I’m going to read them both the riot act and hand them the vacuum with 2 allocated rooms each to do. This last week of the summer holidays is always a long old drag, they are sick to death of eachother and I’m sick to death of the constant arguing between them!

It’s lovely and sunny in the midlands today.

Hope everyone has a lovely Bank Holiday!

Nice idea to have a thread today @BunnyLover7.

I missed the threads this weekend a s I was out all day Saturday at Carfest with DS - he was working. And missed for some reason yesterday too.

I went out for a lovely long walk this morning although should have gone a bit earlier as was a bit of sweaty mess when I got back. Have been really good about daily walks for last six weeks or so and feeling the benefits - and seeing the results on the scales too which is nice!

Have a load of washing done and I need to hang it up. Then will change my bed I think.

I had a lovely long chat with my best friend who lives in Australia.

MIght do a bit of pottering in the garden later although it’s pretty hot here. Or might just read my book in the shade. Bbq later for dinner.

Hi - happy bank holiday Monday! I'm sure lucysmam won't be offended!

I spent the morning doing some sorting out and cleaning and ordered last minute bits (mostly beer!) for a party we're having next Saturday.
I'm now sitting in the garden and plan to do very little else. Back to work after the summer holidays tomorrow so I'm making the most of this last little hurrah of summer.
Ds19 is at work with a blistering hangover so he'll be fun when he gets home. Dh has just gone to collect ds16 from his friend's where he slept over, so he'll probably be tired and grumpy as well. I plan to avoid them both as much as possible and bury my head in my book.
We're having smoked chiicken that Dh cooked yesterday on the bbq for dinner, with roasted veg couscous, corn on the cob and salad. Very little effort required, which is how I like it. Dh and I might go for a walk when it cools down a bit.

Hello 👋
Blitzed the conservatory...washed the blinds and sofa covers.
Popped to tip and m&s for lunch and treats.
I'm far too hot and very tired so its nap time

Good afternoon!

I have spent most of today in the kitchen, batch cooking ready to go back to school/work next week. So far I've made a focaccia (cut into sandwich size pieces), pancakes, cheese straws, pizza rolls and a quiche. All to be popped into the freezer so we can take out for easy lunches. I'm hoping to get some bread rolls, flapjacks and cookies done too, but I may be running out of steam today and have to do them tomorrow!

I've also done 4 loads of washing, 2 on the line now, 2 dried and folded already. The dishwasher is running and I've been for a walk in the woods with DDog, DM and her dog.

Still feeling the need to move - DM has not long had a knee replacement so 'walk' is quite a generous description. Not sure what to do though...?

Taking DC2 and DC3 to the Isle of Wight for the day tomorrow (DC1 at work), so probably need to plan a picnic too.

I also seriously need to deep clean the house, but it's too hot! Waiting until Thursday for that I think...

Good evening @BunnyLover7 , just found your thread, sorry!
I’ve been quite busy today, started with an early 7am dog walk then I did 3 hours of volunteering in the village school garden, something new for me, it was very warm but I enjoyed it. Came home and showered, made chicken shawarma with flat breads, tabbouleh and feta salad for dinner. Three loads of washing are dried and put away, changed the bed etc, spent a couple of hours doing some knitting in my Shed then walked the dogs again.
I’ve had another shower, am in my pyjamas and lolling on the bed.
That’s me done for today!
