10yo and Roblox live updates soo annoying

The game he's currently plays grow a garden does live updates every Saturday at 3pm. I wouldn't mind so much id it was in the morning like 9am, but 3pm on a Saturday means it ruins our Saturday.

He gets so excited about receiving the free gifts, but in his mind he has too be there every one and get these items, today I was out couldn't get decent signal and he was soo upset crying and winging about it and it ruined our afternoon. He even winges and get worked up the day before and during Saturday it's getting too much.

He showed me loads of kids at a train station last week all on the same game, so I'm sure it's not just me with this issue.

My only hope is he gets bored of grow a garden and moves on to something else.

Sounds as though he needs a break from the game.

Urgh my ten year old is the same.
I took dd out swimming while he sat in playing bloody grow a garden (and in fairness I play it with him sometimes so I do get the fun of it) but my word it‘s a pain on the weekend!

My son has a golf lesson every Saturday 2:30 - 3:30pm.

If he was crying and whinging about it I would be banning him off it for a few Saturdays. I can't stand moaning!

Although most Saturdays I've been spared too much bother about it by t'other DS's appointments at the Warhammer shop. You can't win

Is this real? You are allowing a computer game update to mange your child’s life with no interventions.

Yep I've got two massive grow a gardens fans and have lost track of the amount of times theyve mentioned "being home in time for the event/update".

Bit of an exaggeration I think.

I suppose it’s the modern day equivalent of being dragged out on a family walk when you really wanted to watch Top of the Pops or Dr Who so you could chat about it to your friends at school.
