“Plus” fit for dd? Where to buy jeans?

Dd is a big girl. She turned 9 a few weeks ago and is a size 5 shoe already. Shes extremely tall for her age and towers over her friends. She is also chunky, but is very active. Has her own pony so rides a lot, is taking up hockey and just generally an active child.

the thing is, myself and my eldest daughter have lipoedema and it’s already clear that dd9 will have it to.
she’s already hit puberty, has breast development and hairy armpits And with lipoedema it starts during puberty sadly.

my eldest isn’t big and didn’t starts showing until around 12-13.

her brother is 6ft2 at 15, we are just a big family.

today we went shopping for school stuff but while there dd wanted to try on clothes, and every pair of jeans she tried didn’t fit over her legs/bum. She was trying on age 14.

she was extremely upset, she’s very body conscious already and I don’t know what to do to help her. She eats healthy and there isn’t much I can do extra in exercise. I feel so sorry for her and know how difficult my life has been with lipoedema.

my eldest couldn’t care less about hers, she likes her thick thighs.

I would order pairs online from george at asda and try them on at home. It's calmer at home. With no pressure on time. She probably needs a ladies 8 or 10. The woman's jeans will have wider legs than teen ones. If they're too long, find someone to take them up or do it yourself. I'm only 5ft. You get very good at hemming trousers when your short!

Try Primark XXS. My 9yo DD is very tall, broad shoulders and proportionally wide hips. We've had some success in these sizes.

DD swears by Pull & Bear jeans - poor thing inherited my genetics.. long legs but wide hips!

I have a 10 year old who is 5'3 and a size 5 shoes. I buy her adult size clothing now, usually a size 10 or 12. Tried the teen clothing sizes but the fit was never right so have gone straight to adult sizes. Also, we both found it frustrating that teen girl clothes are cut tight and short whereas boy clothes are much roomier. My daughter doesn't want a waist level, tight fitting tshirt, she wants to wear loose fitting comfy things, just like her brother

M&S do an extra short length in jeans and trousers for adults. I’d order a few pairs online for her to try at home

Our girls both are tall and have been wearing women's sizes from 9 as they fit better and were the right lengths for them they are 12 now and wear size 10 womens

How tall is she? Sounds like she needs women’s petite rather than child sizes.
It’s so hard when they’re that tween size.

She’s around 5ft/5ft1. I’m 5ft9 and she’s not that much shorter tbh lol. Her sister is 5ft7 and she comes upto her chin
