Yep. Love it. No complaints to be honest 😃

RaraRachael · 22/08/2025 22:57

Yes. We have one and I really like it. OH claims it's difficult to get into reverse but I think he's never really forgiven them for discontinuing the Meriva 😅

hakunamatata20 · 22/08/2025 22:59

My mum does and she loves hers! I ended up getting the Grandland X as I needed something bigger but I love that too. My mum convinced me with how happy she wad with her Crossland.

@SquishedMallow @RaraRachael oo fab that's reassuring to hear weve just put a deposit down on a 2020 plate 24k miles and I won't lie I've now personally had huge doubts as seen lots of people have issues with their wet belts and some other things costing £1000 + to fix my husband thinks itll be fine it's a chance we take ect

But you guys really like yours then. Do you have the extra floor in the boot I've looked into that as mine doesn't come with one it's £120 To buy off eBay!

We got ours 3 years ago with just delivery mileage and passed its MOT recently. Never had any problems with it.
I don't really know what the extra floor in the boot is so I'm guessing we don't have it 😅

Just look at YouTube, I just did a search for that car 😬

Yeah . . . not great . . . it's not a question of IF the belt will fail, it's WHEN.

Sorry OP, you're about to get screwed.

Katesdeadbehindtheeyes · 23/08/2025 11:47

Have to agree with @Chiseltip wetbelt nightmare waiting to happen and I'm sure that pure tech engine had oil burning issues. It's no better than the EcoBoost motor. Personally id avoid as they are boring as fuck to drive and that's a good enough reason to swerve.

RaraRachael · 24/08/2025 07:56

No idea what a wet belt is but lots of people I know have Crosslands without any issues..

@Katesdeadbehindtheeyes is a car meant be exciting to drive? As long as it gets me from A to B I don't care 😅

Sushiqueen · 24/08/2025 08:34

The wet belt issue was easily solved by using a different oil type which most Vauxhall garages sorted out when you had the annual oil change. So that is not such an issue now.

Sirzy · 24/08/2025 08:36

I had an 18 plate crossland and loved it (had a Meriva before that) needed to move to automatic so recently got a 22 plate crossland and love it even more!

Finchbon · 24/08/2025 09:44

I’ve had 3. Love them. Also love the floating floor in the boot - came as standard on my 1st so I have moved it across all 3 since it became an extra!

@RaraRachael to be fair your probably right about a car getting you from A to B. I just personal think that life can be pretty depressing at times and having something in your life that's fun can help even if it's just a car.
On the other subject of wetbelts they are a cam belt that runs through the oil in the engine. What can happen is the belt can degrade as rubber doesn't do to well in oil. Bits off rubber break off and block the oil filter. Basically starving the engine of oil. Not the best design. Hope I haven't bored you all to tears with that.

I think you now get kits converting the belts to chains so getting rid of the problem. I watch to many car garage stuff on YouTube as I drive a few old cars and keep seeing loads of stuff about wetbelts.

Thanks @Katesdeadbehindtheeyes . We once had an Escort XR3i which I suppose would have been deemed exciting to drive but I hated it! Horrible tight little steering wheel - couldn't wait to get rid of it. It was XH's dream car.

This is a strange coincidence but one of my old cars is an XR3I and your right about the small steering wheel and heavy steering l. I find it easier to drive than some modern cars.
Fucking hell I sound like a right girl racer now. I promise I drive like a granny ( I am one ).

JustAboutMuddlingThrough · 24/08/2025 16:56

Had one. It was very noisy in 1st and 2nd gear. Practically fainted at the mere sight of a hill and had mechanical issues 10 days after purchasing it. In the end I rejected it and bought a different car from a different garage.

Hi, Stelantis, have issued a 10 yr Warranty on the wet belt and oil consumption the only pre requisite is the vehicle must have a full service history as per Vauxhall standard the last 3 ( if app )having been carried out by a Vauxhall dealership
