Teenager work experience - what to wear?

I wonder if anyone has an opinion on this?
My teenage daughter is spending a week in a GP practice. What should she wear? She was thinking jeans (the mom jeans style) and a top and cardi but I think that wouldn't be grown up or formal enough. I could go to Primark and get something different if people think I should?
Any ideas mumsnet?

She could just wear her school trousers or black skirt and ties and a smart top with a cardigan. I wouldn’t go jeans personally

I would say not jeans, ideally .if my GP surgery is anything to go by, they are fairly formally dressed - even the younger members of staff.

Doesn't need to be super smart but I would avoid denim, leggings and very short skirts.

Simple pair of trousers and a shirt would be fine. Think school teacher.

Thank you for your suggestions that's really helpful. If she goes with a shirt should she wear think black tights with them? Or bare legs?
And what about shoes? Her school shoes maybe? Better than Converse?

We went to primark and got some loose straight leg soft linen type black trousers and ribbed close fitting t shirt tops.

with a black hoodie and black air forces or whatever they are.

comfortable and inoffensive.

I would say no jeans in a GP surgery.

Mine did black trousers, smart tops - I brought some from primark and a jacket - smart school shoes (no trainers or converse) trousers and socks are a good call.

No need for tights unless of course she wants to wear them.

School shoes would be better. I know doctors and nurses who work in scrubs usually wear trainers, but I do think there is a bit of dress code in most GP surgeries.

Perfect. Should the tops be blouses/ shirts or t shirts and cardigan?
I'm so glad I asked thank you so much.

My DD 14 did work experience in my office and we went to H&M and got some comfy grey smart trousers, a smart cardigan and some tops. She wore smartish shoes.
