Edinburgh Fringe- are the venues easy to find?

On a day trip to Edinburgh at the weekend and wondered if the venues for shows are easy enough to find and located near Waverley?

Any advice gratefully received!

They are all over the city centre, Old Town and New Town , pubs, uni buildings, odd spaces underground, popup marquees. Usually within walking distance of Waverley. Where in particular are you looking for?

There is a ticket booth above Waverley station on the Princes Street side if you need help finding a venue.

Easy to find - yes
Walking distance - maybe, but not necessarily. But you should be able to get a bus easily enough

I’d ideally like a comedy show and saw that there was one in Brass Monkey’s in Drummond St.

They are not too hard to find and will have big signs outside of them with the venue number usually.

Drummond Street is probably only a ten minute walk from Waverley so ideal!
Have a wander up the Royal Mile too and soak up the atmosphere, it’s fantastic :)

I was up at pleasance courtyard (?) and was a 15/20 min walk back to the station, lots of venues seemed to be in the old bit of town but maybe that's just because I was up there.
It would have been better if areas were signposted more but maybe half the fun of it is just finding random shows.
If interested I went to see the Cheese Pervert, um....World's greatest Lover, and Emmanuel Sonubi who I love.
