Reading Festival drop-off - newbie!!

Can anyone local to Reading advise me somewhere to drop off? We are going to be at the end of a very long drive and obviously want to get them as close as possible but not stick in a huge jam I can’t get out of! Any local knowledge hugely appreciated!

Reading train station is a 15 minute walk from the festival site. Waitrose Oxford Road is also really near the site, and has a big car park. I believe the main drop off point is Hills Meadow, but this will likely be very busy. There’s a road nearby called Richfield Avenue, but avoid this one as I believe they are closing it.

I dropped DD off at Hills meadow today. Was straight in and out. There was a ferry right there which took them up to the main gate.
