School trousers for tall boys with thighs?

Help! DS is almost 15, 6ft 2" and has rugby player thighs.

He needs grey trousers for uniform (mid grey not charcoal), but all the M&S trousers and his school uniform supplier have are "slim" or "regular" with a flat front (no pleat) and that cut makes him look ridiculous as it is really tight right where he doesn't want! The m&s plus size don't work either as they are then far too loose around the waist.

Anyone got any ideas?

My DS is similar height, not rugby thighs but quite well built. Next age 17 school trousers fit fine (but are unavailable whenever I look!). I was advised school uniform supplier (though they are also out of stock his size) but I see you’ve tried that already!

So no answers other than getting plus size taken in properly.

The supermarket ones might be more generously sized for ‘regular’ fit? (I’ve not looked there yet)

It shouldn’t be this hard!

I had to take our chunky thigh, tall 15 yr old to a market stall that sold men’s stuff, think labouring wear, hi-vis, steel toe cap boots, but they also sold men’s office wear, got great quality non-shiny, charcoal grey trousers they were £25 each but being comfortable at school is important. Cheaper than the next suggestion, which is Next men’s wear, lower quality £40 each

I think it's the fact that they're all flat fronted (obviously to save money) so there's no give in the fabric.

And yes, out of stock is a major issue.
