What's for breakfast on this sunny Sunday morning?

I had tea at 05.00 as I tackled Wordle and just had a large strong coffee.

I'll probably start with my usual yoghurt, berries and chopped nuts and later have something that involves eggs or avocadoes, or both 🍳 🥑

Kipper with poached egg on top. Keeps me going all day and prevents any temptation to snack.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 17/08/2025 07:55

Surreal Cocoa cereal pre run and then a bagel with scrambled eggs post run.

Pennyplant19 · 17/08/2025 07:56

Just had 2 crumpets as a bit of energy - off for a lake swim ☺️

Coffee now then either yoghurt, chia, nuts, cinnamon or homemade sausage, egg and avocado. Can't decide 😩

Moleole · 17/08/2025 07:58

I have the same every day- sourdough with boiled eggs & tomatoes with some berries on the side. Ive started making the bread at home and its still not bakery level but edible 😂

PurpleChrayn · 17/08/2025 07:59

Pankimps, as my 2-year-old calls them. Pancakes for everyone else!

Natsku · 17/08/2025 08:03

Karelian pie with a slice of cheese and some sliced cherry tomato on top. With a cup of tea, black, no sugar.

BG2015 · 17/08/2025 08:04

Porridge with blueberries and honey

QueenAnnesHat · 17/08/2025 08:05

Same every day - Greek yogurt, blueberries, home made maple, cinnamon and pecan granola.

Sourisblanche · 17/08/2025 08:05

Coffee and half of yesterday’s slightly stale croissant!

Have some watermelon in the fridge so will have that later with some yogurt and homemade muesli.

Sheknowsaboutme · 17/08/2025 08:08

Im on my 3rd coffee. Had 2 slices of seeded bread with homemade blackberry jam.

Sitting outside, classic FM for company, and the chickens around my feet.

So cute 🥰 we had a ritual of Sunday pancakes for many many years when the kids were small.
My then 2-yr old called them pank-panks!

I’ll probably have 2 slices toast, one with marmite and cheese, one with marmalade

Willow12345 · 17/08/2025 08:13

Love the sound of pankimps @PurpleChrayn!

I can’t function without my early cup of tea (plus Wordle), then I have a banana, do a little yoga/weights/stretching and walk the dog. Then it’s a big breakfast, usually an avocado, beans (love beans in a jar), any chopped veggies in the fridge, plus eggs.

Bacon sandwiches and tea here.

NotMeekNotObedient · 17/08/2025 08:17

Homemade potato cakes - using up mash from last night's dinner!

Hillrunning · 17/08/2025 08:20

Ah, so very jealous of everyone's breakfast. We have nothing at all in the house and so to eat i have to first shop and that fill me with the sads

InfoSecInTheCity · 17/08/2025 08:21

DD wanted us to get quail eggs from the supermarket yesterday because of the novelty of tiny eggs so she has had tiny fried eggs on toast cut into heart shapes. I have had lots of coffee.

Wynter25 · 17/08/2025 08:21

Chocolate cereal

frozendaisy · 17/08/2025 08:23

Black coffee

GivingUpFinally · 17/08/2025 08:29

Sunday morning pancakes. Been doing this for nearly a decade the kids love it and the toddler wakes up asking if it's pank cake day yet. Today as an extra treat we've had banana and choc chips ones and just the normal fluffy ones with extra cinnamon. Warm maple syrup of course and a cafetiere of coffee for the adults. Or HOT coffwee according to the toddler.

It's not about the pancakes for me. Its about the tradition and family time. Always have some cheesy music on as well and pancakes always include a dance as the special ingredient.

Zippedydodah · 17/08/2025 08:40

My usual avocado toast with smoked salmon, lemon juice and black pepper and a large mug of coffee.

Berlinlover · 17/08/2025 08:47

Coffee and porridge.

BunnyLover7 · 17/08/2025 08:48

Had a cuppa in bed. I don’t always have breakfast but bought Just Right cereal yesterday so will have a bowl of that.

OnlyYellowRoses · 17/08/2025 08:56

DH is making pancakes with bacon and maple syrup with ‘proper coffees’ whilst I lounge in bed 🙂

Westfacing · 17/08/2025 08:57

Lots of lovely breakfasts - mainly savoury dare I say!
