Friend books in English

I live in Germany, the children here often receive a friends book when they start school. Inside the book there are pages for each friend to write about themselves and write a little message to the book’s owner. They can also add a photo or draw a picture.

The idea is that each child will have a book that has been filled out by all of their friends.

They are often themed- Minecraft, Spiderman, princesses, forest animals etc.

Do these exist in English? Because I can’t find any.

I don’t think we have them here, I’ve certainly never come across them.

Probably a good job we don’t, can you imagine the AIBUs?!

How strange people you don’t know aren’t your friends.

I don’t think they are very common in the UK

On Etsy a shop called Happypageskids sell ‘Friendship memory books’ that look similar to what you are after, the shop is currently on holiday though
