What is the UK coming to when you can't rely on M&S to find basics like:

  • A short sleeve collared blouse with buttons (they have 8 but they all have silly sleeves)
  • Short sleeved, long legged, summer cotton PJs (with a collared PJ top, not a T-shirt top)

🙃

M&S had me in a rage last week when 4 pairs of summer trousers I ordered (which I ordered from them because they actually do a range of leg lengths) all had to be returned because they seem to vanity size everything. The tummy on all the trousers in a size 10 could have accommodated Humpty Dumpty -I actually had to double check I hadn’t ordered from a maternity range or something!

Try finding an ordinary plain black t-shirt bra in a size 38C.

Even if you do, it'll probably come in a pack of 2 with a colour you don't need..🙂

Yes, why do you have to buy two, three or more packs of things when you only want one? M and S had a sports bra I wanted, but only in a two pack, one black and one white. I didn’t want white, and I only wanted one! Same with cami tops. So annoying.

I like those - thanks! Thought I'd already checked JL so must have missed those.

the last lot of knickers I bought from them were terrible. Very thin cotton that ripped away from the trim within weeks. Will never buy again, after over 35 years of loyal buying

I have never gotten over the fact that M & S stopped making the £9.50 black stretchy jogger/lounge bottoms, they were the best. They also used to do those soft silky autograph lounge trousers and tops……not anymore…..fixed waists that dig in and legs that aren’t long enough……even tried cyberjammies and their pj bottoms only have half an elastic waist…..why why why!!!!!

ohbee · 18/08/2025 19:25

I’m just fed up of all the tops being so short.

I think they should have a page on their website for entering a serial number and voting for a comeback - so items with enough votes get relaunched. I have a favourite camisole top from way back that is falling apart, but they have never made another like it. And I have an Autograph work blouse that is the perfect fit - I'd love them to repeat it in a different colour/pattern.

This would do, or did you want unwired?

Although I don’t think M&S is the be all and end all in bras generally!

I’ve seen lots of lovely cheesecloth pyjamas in TK Maxx recently. Sadly the website doesn’t carry most of their stock.
