Why might my ex have blocked me after 4 years?

Before anyone jumps on, I’m not obsessively checking his socials! I happened across it by chance I live in a different area now and have a young baby, very happy with DP.

I split up with my ex of four years nearly 4 years ago. It was very unexpected, to me at least, and he split up with me over text message. We unfollowed each other on Instagram but he’d not blocked me. We had no contact and I didn’t see him again, he arranged for someone else to pick up his belongings from mine. He’s still friendly with some mutual friends and my family, so his profile pops up time to time.

I saw him at an event about 8 months ago, I was pregnant at the time, he congratulated me etc and spoke to DP. All was fine, I did have a nose at his Instagram then and wasn’t blocked. Both profiles are on private anyway.

Fast forward to today, and I can see I’ve been blocked. Any guesses at why please? Again, definitely not bothered but a bit perplexed!

Possibly a jealous new partner, but has he definitely blocked you or it is possible he's just come off socials?

It’s a bit embarrassing but I checked on google and his profile is definitely still active, I’ve been blocked.

It’s not as though we’ve followed each other at all for 4 years, I can’t see any of his photos and neither can he mine.

not quite the same but was in the process of building a good friendship with a person i got to know spent various hours in their office talking and then got permission to text etc as i wanted to make sure i was ok doing what they wanted me to and it covered me so that if they said eg im texting then i can say i did ask etc.

then carried on building the friendship and not sure what excatly i did wrong but one day did the normal text and then zzzz, no reason nothing even though i got persmission to do what we agreed upon.

so unless its something i did that they got cheesed about then im not sure unless they got jealous about me and my friendship with another person. but thats the main thing i could think of

My weirdo ex would always contact me when his latest squeeze chucked him out, I was his barometer. He can’t contact me anymore so fuck knows how he’s coping,, lol. Just get him out of your head, it’s pointless dwelling.
