Yes, love pickelball and play for a ladies cricket team. I also go to gym classes regularly, body pump etc.

Yes
I currently do road cycling, mountain biking, running, swimming (open water), hiking. I also lift weights

In the past as an adult I have done horse riding, netball, climbing, skiing, paddleboarding

I love sport

This is not the thread for me 😂

I've never even heard of pickleball and just had to look it up. I do quite like dance though, and have done tap and ballet as an adult.

0BLIVIOUS · 14/08/2025 22:48

I’d like to learn paddle tennis

Ohplesandbanonos · 14/08/2025 22:49

Yes - me and both dc play hockey for the local club, dh plays for the military. I also play walking hockey for fun.

Both dc also love swimming, netball, cricket and rugby. I would say we're a sporty family! I love the rush you get from being physically shattered and sweaty and tired - I have a mentally demanding job that doesn't require much movement so love the contrast

I was very sporty in my younger days - athletics and step aerobics (showing my age.. 🤣) were my absolute favourite things to do. Now chronic pain holds me back from anything more than yoga and walking unfortunately!

DD has always been naturally athletic - she’s more of a long distance/ cross country runner whilst I was a sprinter. Loved netball at school and will hopefully continue this at uni. Does regular Pilates classes and horse riding has been her life since she was about 12!

Crushed23 · 14/08/2025 23:01

Yes!

I love cycling, swimming, hiking, skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding.

Also love pilates, barre, yoga and HIIT, if they count as sports!

mondaytosunday · 14/08/2025 23:12

No I am not. Swimming amd horseriding were my thing in my youth though. My DD (now 20) is quite naturally sporty and enjoyed hockey and netball (broke her finger and badly sprained her ankle doing that), and took to skiing and ice skating quickly. But she’s not competitive and only liked doing sport for fun, and at school it’s all about being in the team and competing. She’s at uni now and has MS so she walks a lot and does the occasional Jane Fonda Workout video.
My son LOVES sport but not particularly gifted, but runs every day and enjoyed rugby all through school (can’t really play anymore due to breaking his clavicle), and still does football and kickboxing. He can ski too.

Love cycling (road in particular) - biggest passion, even love to watch it.

Enjoy yoga and horse riding (mainly cross country)

Can watch most sports, not a major fan of football though

ChungkingDreamer · 14/08/2025 23:18

No. My main problem is I find it deathly dull. I always like to be reading or taking in information, and although I’ve tried listening to podcasts and audiobooks while exercising, it never works out because I just end up not concentrating properly on either. So, I walk the dog three times a day and do yoga and kettlebells daily, but I don’t really enjoy the latter two.

Netcurtainnelly · 15/08/2025 17:32

Wonderful.
Sports so good for you mentally and physically.

Like table tennis too.
