DP (BF?) is ridiculously excited for our first Christmas together.

We got together at a Christmas do last year, so this is the first year where Christmas plans will be made together.

We have quite an overlapping social circle (hence being at the same party last year) so some of the plans are things we would both be at anyway, but so far he has ideas that will fill every weekend in December and all the days from the weekend before Christmas to the weekend after New Year.

I haven't agreed to anything yet and he'll be fine if I say I need a few quiet days (I do!) but he's so excited to be a proper couple for Christmas (and yes it's only August)....which I think is nice...?

Yes it's lovely! Just don't let him overbook stuff, you don't want to be exhausted. Some of the best nights around Christmas I had (when I wasn't single) were spent watching Christmas movies under the duvet, log burner on, mulled wine etc....

Sounds high octane. Try and carve out some quiet days to decorate the tree, watch TV and generally enjoy the time together.
