Beauty enhancements - are they or not?

I've never had botox, turkey teeth or anything other than an eyebrow wax/thread or facial but I was looking at pictures of Katie Price the other day and it struck me that she no longer looks as lovely as she once did.
I have a friend in our BC group too who, when you look back at her FB pictures was really pretty and because she has been to Turkey now has teeth that are too white and too big. She has also had a myriad of other treatments and now I feel that she has lost her natural beauty and now looks overdone and fake.
At what point do people think - enough? I've done enough treatments and I'm happy with how I look - or are they seeing something totally different to what the world sees?
I'm well aware that people perceive things differently and that they are entirely free to do whatever they like to themselves but I did think it sad that such people who are naturally beautiful don't see themselves that way. The old saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder really is true.

I think Katie Price has openly stated that she has body dysmorphia so I guess that explains what's going on in her specific case.

As for other people, I don't know.

I don't think filters on phones help because when people use these, they think they look like what they look like on the filter, and get a shock when they look in the mirror so try to correct it, maybe?

I think it's very hard to know when to stop & the problem is everyone tends to look at themselves in photos or still whereas everyone else sees you animated.

A lot of people have very subtle work that you won't necessarily notice though. I know someone who has botox and lip fillers but really really subtle ...when you see her you just think she looks good rather than thinking what work she has had done.

I'm not sure about that @Comedycook, I think even subtle improvements tend to be noticeable once you age eg very few people are line free when older. I do want to try botox though.

i think lip filler is harder to conceal over time.

Some people have tweekments and look great, like they have had a week of perfect sleep and just look fresh, healthy and wonderful.

But some people get addicted and go bigger and bigger. Bigger lips, whiter teeth, too much filler, botoxed so much that their skin looks thin and shiny.

I tried botox once and it caused me to have a droopy eye. They tried to correct it, but nothing worked. I can't have that done again, but if it hadn't been for the eye, I probably would have done. I tried a small amount of lip filler once, but it hurt like buggery, cost hundreds and I really couldn't tell any difference.

I view these things like fake tan... people notice the ott badly applied orange ones and assume all fake tan is awful. They don't necessarily notice the well applied subtle one. So yes lots of people will notice the ott cosmetic procedures. They won't always notice all cosmetic procedures. I know a woman with veneers...they are not huge and bright white...you would just think she has good teeth.

Not had any treatments. Having had cancer I’m not keen to put some of the ingredients into my system but also I’ve seen some truly terrible results locally.
Pretty happy with how I look naturally. Wouldn’t want to risk that.

Whereas I think even a good fake tan doesn't compare to a proper natural one, the evenness, the colour, etc. I've tried a lot! 😆

good fake teeth can look great and facelifts

There are some very odd looking women around today, all filled faces and huge lips, they look monstrous and are ruining their looks, they all look the same. I know a girl who used to be really pretty but she now has massive lips and cannot smile properly, looks like she is grimacing in every photo, she goes to the gym and has a very muscular body but with massive fake boobs on, she looks awful
