What swim aids do you use for your older children?

Autistic son, 3 rounds of swimming lessons but still nervous around water. He is almost 8, quite tall. What floatation aids do you use? He’s getting two big for the inflatable arm bands. He used tge foam arm bands this lessons but I can’t find them online and I’m wondering if there’s something better for when we go on holiday. I need to feel safe when I take him swimming as his sister now swims without flotation aids but still needs careful monitoring.

Thanks

Have a look at these https://www.konfidence.co.uk/products/the-original-konfidence-jacket?variant=42413641990306&gadsource=1&gaddcampaignid=20358550792&gbraid=0AAAAAD-FIlZv4qAgd9XPaZgfHWtoHDkhb&gclid=CjwKCAjwkvbEBhApEiwAKUz6-wwWJpn4ozzvtrUsE9c3GGOHbvdaRDmerYigZASIKXY8HI1HHmrDRoC0W4QAvDDBwE

They have removable foam blocks so when ypur child gains confidence you can take a couple of them out. I used for my child and it was fab, really helped.

The ones you hold onto? So it’s not fixed to them in any way? Do you find it’s helped them with confidence?

My child has 1:1 swim lessons so starred using a noodle with them and yes it has really helped with confidence 🙂 you just hold it around the body as a floatation aid
