What's the most ridiculous comment you've seen or heard relating to female bodies?

Examples:

Inserting tampons is pleasurable.
If a girl doesn't bleed the first time, she wasn't a virgin.
Tampon sizes are related to vagina size rather than levels of absorbency.
Women don't have leg hair above the knees.

I once met a man who had developed a service texting women to remind them to take their birth control pill (no I don't know why anyone would want this but he insisted that some did). He joked that this meant he had a list of women that he knew when they were ovulating.

Apart from the obvious issues with this, I always regret not asking him if he knew exactly how the contraceptive pill stops a woman getting pregnant.

I went on holiday with a work mate and she invited her friend whom I had never met. We were all 32/33.

Friend removed her tampon every time she peed as she thought she had to. How this came up in the conversation, I don't know. It was a skiing holiday and I think she carried dozens of tampons with her maybe?

Both work mate and I were drawing pictures of the female anatomy on unfolded fag packets trying to get friend to understand that she didn't need to do this.

She must have been doing this for 17 years or so.

That to to be a woman you must wear mini skirts, high heels and a tight t-shirt. Alternatively a floral skirt and a cardigan.

Surely the big one is that the majority of women can have an orgasm through penetrative sex alone?

On the other hand a man would be seen as quite the stud.

In terms of biology, that the outside part of the female anatomy is called the vagina. It's a vulva !!

It's a man's right to decide on what she does with her uterus.

If you were drunk and incapacitated, you were asking for it and fair game.

Big boobs are the height of feminity.

That the size of a woman's vagina could be determined by the spread of her pubic hair - said to me by a man i dated in my teens.

There was an OP here who was utterly affronted at the suggestion she should size up her tampon as she kept flooding and insisted on using small ones. She got quite aggressive and said she didn't have a huge stretched fanny like some of us must have

We tried to explain gently but she was having none of it!

I can not STAND the vagina / vulva confusion. My 13 year old cousin was telling me something, she called the vulva a vagina and looked at me horrified because she knew she was in for yet another biology lesson from me.... that shes had a million times.

How on earth? Up there with the thigh gap weirdness.

I know! Bonkers! I can only imagine that misogynistic men pass this shit into their sons (this was in the early 80s too, so no blaming online porn and boys couldnt buy porn magazines back then).

Thought that one was a complete myth until it happened. It takes an attentive partner with good stamina and just the right angle but it's AMAZING. Only works when I'm on top though.

That we don't enjoy sex. A man told me that women derive pleasure primarily from their own imagining of being desired. As in a dependency on his validation, whereby womqn internalises the gaze of man as a defining element of her existence. I thought, clearly he's never had anyone ride him who was really into him. But i can also see how if you've only had transactional sex and watched a lot of porn you might come to that conclusion. And I dont think he was entirely wrong, just that he was wrong to think this applies to all women.. I appreciate having honest conversations with men free from the tyranny of political correctness

That all women have pain and physical suffering when they are on their periods, and all of them become highly volatile and explosive when on them. So if a woman behaves like that, she must be on her period!

It's not rocket science!! Surely the medical team ie the Doctors who have to study aviation and space medicine could have answered that. Or perhaps it had been missed in medical school.

If you have big boobs you must have a big back. People cannot get their head around the fact that you can be big in cup but small in back. At my slimmest I was a 30GG/H, people could never get their head around that.

Shops also need to realise not every woman with a cup size larger than an F is large.
