I am! I think it’s the added pressure of whether she’s got into Uni off the back of her results……

Yes! DS getting his results tomorrow. Good luck to your DD!

This was a good read. www.theuniguide.co.uk/advice/clearing-results-day/a-level-results-day-grades-what-to-expect

Yes. I am. DD really isn’t and thinks she’s failed 2/3 anyway. She’s not going to uni and is a bit lost on next steps really. She drives and has a part time job but other than that she’s got no idea where life will take her. I’m half horrified and half impressed lol.

Thanks @SpaceMoo- same to your DS and thank you for the link.

@bearfood- at least it takes the pressure off a bit…..

Yes! GCSEs weren't great 2 years ago but she's been predicted really good grades and chosen a great uni course. She's sensibly put the foundation course as back up but I really hope she gets the grades she is predicted this time, she already has excelled in the coursework part.

(We moved schools after GCSE as they completely failed her and her friends with teaching and predicted grades and provided absolutely no support when she got her grades)

It’s all gone pear shaped here, how are you all doing? DS going through clearing.

DD luckily already had an unconditional offer which took the pressure away.

She is ND and struggles with exams, class assessments and work is always great but exams - not so much.

She got what she would have needed if the offer was still conditional and her uni is moving away from exams to assessments, so she will be off in September.

Got slightly less than predicted on one but got into her course so all happy!

I was you this time last year and it wasn't a good day for us but a year later all is great and DS is exactly where he wants to be ( working in the City of London having beaten a Russell group graduate to a job after a series of tough interviews)

It felt like the end of the world this time last year and there were lots of tears and a mad dash to Bath Spa to persuade him to take the course he'd been offered.

He decided against Uni but he never gave up on finding the career he wanted and although at one point we thought it would never work out his perseverance and hard work paid off in the end and he is so happy.

Good Luck everyone.

DD didn’t fail despite what she had predicted so all is well here!
