Heritage live at Sandringham - taxi hell!!

Oh bugger
I got hold of some tickets for the heritage live Pet Shop Boys event tomorrow night. We have a caravan booked in Hunstanton with some friends.
Stupidly thought it would be fine to phone and book a taxi today. Of course it wasn't - all taxi firms have been booked up for months.
It says to allow up to 120minutes to get in and out of the car park, and the whole point in booking somewhere to stay was to not have to drive and wait.
How thick am I?
Is there anyone out there who lives in the Norfolk area who can make any suggestions???

I went to a heritage live event a few weeks ago. We left early im afraid. Was the only way of getting out i could see. Venue not served by public transport

Thanks for the reply - for some reason it just didn't occur to me that taxis would all be booked up.

I’m panicking about the same OP. Am at Sandringham Friday night for Mariah Carey!

Apparently there were loads of complaints last year re the Robbie Williams gig at Sandringham and the fact that it took people 2 hours to get out. I can only hope Sandringham have learnt something from this and it’s more organised this year, I’m really not convinced it will be any better though.

Ive asked heritage live if it will take 2 hours to get in if we get in for 5pm on Friday rather than 2. No response!

I’ve also asked them if it will take 2 hours to get out if we are getting picked up (which I am) rather than trying to leave the main car parks. No response!

So no help I’m afraid OP. Can you camp? Either if it’s in a random place, lol. Bring a tent, stash it somewhere? Or try and park in dersingam or other neighbouring village (about a 20 min walk) and sleep in your car?

I really don’t think you’ll get a taxi now. However I think it’s big Green bus company are putting on coaches and I think one goes to and from Hunstanton, google it? That may not have sold out in terms of seating!

The Website says Big Green Coaches are putting on transport from various towns in East Anglia but you have to pre-book (and not sure whether they would all be booked up now). Might that be worth a try, if you can get a bus or taxi to Kings Lynn for example, and then get a coach from there....? They are running them from Kings Lynn station

These are all of the taxi firms on the website, in case there are any you havent tried, but getting taxis in rural Norfolk is often difficult and expensive.

We have tickets but are driving from Wells (and hoping that it doesnt take 2 hours to queue to get into and out of the carpark, as the website suggests it might.....)

My SIL was at Robbie last year and said it was a nightmare getting out, hence us thinking we were being clever booking somewhere to stay and getting a taxi. Except we haven't been at all clever because we don't have the taxi...

My thought is also parking somewhere in one of the villages further out and walking in - friends have said they would rather walk for an hour than sit in the car for 2 hours and I have to say I agree.
I got the tickets for free through the tickets for teacher site so haven't given it a massive amount of thought...but should have done, clearly.

Hope you got sorted @Bluedressandslippers - it didn't seem too chaotic last night, but we parked up and walked into the estate in the end. It was fine, and we had a great evening.
