Berlinlover · 12/08/2025 15:44

I was 24 and met a man that I’ll regret getting involved with for the rest of my life.

DramaAlpaca · 12/08/2025 15:45

I was 30, busy with toddler DS1 and newly pregnant in a heatwave with DS2. It was a really nice time of life, looking back on it.

MsPengiuns · 12/08/2025 15:49

Met DH but no children yet and before we were married, got engaged that year. Owned flat in London. Working in London. Life was great.

Landbeforefeelings123 · 12/08/2025 15:50

After 4 years of fertility treatment I was finally pregnant with my first when H cheated on me (found out wasn't first time either). H left, quit job so didn't have to pay cm and had no contact. I suddenly had to sell and buy a new house finally moving in 1 1/2 weeks before dc was born. Dc is now an adult and it seems a distant memory but obviously at the time it was very difficult.

ItWasntMyFault · 12/08/2025 15:52

I was 28 and had just got married.

Lafufufu · 12/08/2025 15:52

An absolute horror show.
I was miserable, bulimic had failed 2nd yr uni and was just really struggling in general

As a mother now, I feel awful for my own mum...she must have been terrified for me...

BeMellowAquaSquid · 12/08/2025 15:53

I was 22.5 and had just agreed to marry the biggest twat known to man.

Zippedydodah · 12/08/2025 15:57

I was 36, doing a degree while working full time with two DCs doing GCSEs and A Levels. Utter madness.

thatsnothtepoint · 12/08/2025 15:59

I was 33, married with DC, and had just graduated from uni as a mature student.

alcoholfreelife · 12/08/2025 16:05

I was 22 and I just had just come out of a domestic abuse relationship to an alcoholic, I bought a house with him when I was 18 (met him at 15) as his own mum had kicked him out but I apparently knew better and loved him, if I knew then what I know now my life would be very different.

I am now happily married and I have a great life but those years I was with him shaped me, my life and my future in a way that it probably shouldn’t have.

Dontlletmedownbruce · 12/08/2025 16:06

24, with a long term BF but we didn't live together. Living and working in a big city in a flat share. Working hard by day but having a great social life, out til early hours every Saturday night. I was on low salary but got a brand new company car and it might have been my greatest achievement in life! Parking and city traffic was difficult but my goodness the freedom!!! I spent week nights and weekends driving around the city visiting friends or random suburbs, driving to the beach or the mountains. Every 4th weekend i drove home for a visit. It was a stressful time work wise but looking back it was a good time. Also a formative time, many of my friends now are from that period, the BF is my DH.

Vintagenow · 12/08/2025 16:07

I was 26, a year out of a draining ltr and having the time of my life with my friends, trips to Ibiza etc. Genuinely the best and most debauched years of my life my mid/late 20's Grin

Moveoverdarlin · 12/08/2025 16:09

It looked bloody brilliant. I was 22 and having a ball. At uni, working in a bar, dating loads of hot boys. Holidays with girlfriends. Term time in a student house, holidays were spent in my parents lovely home. I was slim and attractive.

I would go back in a heartbeat.

Squirrelsnut · 12/08/2025 16:09

27, living and working in London. It was fantastic! DH was my boyfriend.

MissyB1 · 12/08/2025 16:10

I was 27 and realising my marriage was dead, I would leave three years later.

user1476613140 · 12/08/2025 16:10

Was 21 and just about graduated from uni...

Blobbitymacblob · 12/08/2025 16:11

I was struggling through existential angst because I felt unimaginably old. I don’t even feel half as old now as I did then 🤣

Momstermash94 · 12/08/2025 16:11

I was 16, living the worst year of my life with awful MH, experiencing very severe bullying, tangled in extremely toxic friendships, inflicting SH on myself and thoroughly considering ending my life.

In contrast I am now 31, here watching my beautiful 7 mo DD play on the floor in front of me, as I admire my wedding ring from my small and intimate wedding from less than 2 weeks ago, while I am surrounded by packed up boxes as me and my DH await moving country in a few weeks time for new beginnings.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 12/08/2025 16:14

I was 22, newlywed and about to start the 4th year of my degree after spending a fantastic year living in Germany. Life was so much simpler. If I could turn back the clock 22 years, I would! 🤣

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 12/08/2025 16:14

25, a one year old, pregnant, knackered.
