Is Glasgow worth a visit?

I like history, cathedrals/churches, museums etc. not interested in bars or posh restaurants. Thinking of an overnight trip there. I have been to Edinburgh and don’t particularly feel the need to ever go back!

Loads of good recs for Glasgow here (Altho I must admit I thinks provands lordship dull) For places away from Glasgow I adore Stirling castle, because so much of it is reconstruction, you can touch /sit on many of the exhibits. So that’s worth a look.

Had a brilliant time in Glasgow. It’s a great place to visit. Lots to do. Not as much tourist junk as Edinburgh. Will definitely come back!

I had breakfast at the Willow Tea room, and did the guided tour which was excellent. The cathedral and necropolis, a ghost tour, and the Kelvingrove museum. As well as the Makintosh house at the Huntarian museum.

I was reading the thread, not realising it was an old thread, and thinking ‘hmm, if the OP was underwhelmed by Edinburgh I’m really not sure Glasgow is going to be the place for her’.
