Dental treatment abroad- any experience?

Hi, hoping for some advice if anyone has done this. My crown has fallen off and I’ve been told I’ll need an implant as not enough tooth left to redo a crown. Unfortunately it’s very expensive in the UK and I’d need to save up for months. It’s in quite a visible space so I’d prefer to get it done sooner rather than wait.
I’ve heard of people going to Romania/ Hungary for dental care and that it can be excellent. Has anyone been or got any experience with this? Or even any tales of caution?
Thanks

I went to Poznan in Poland for root canal treatment and a 1 tooth denture and it was great and a lot cheaper than in UK. Only drawback was that dentist spoke no English at all but it wasn't really needed to be honest.

Now have found an NHS dentist and I have dental insurance through work so no need to go abroad, but the one experience I had was faultless

The problem with any dental treatment done abroad is no dentist here will touch it if there's an issue. Obviously some of the work is of a higher standard than others but it is a factor. You need to be prepared to go back to that clinic if there's any issue- and implants aren't a simple filling. What will you do if that dentist closes up shop/ the clinic closes/ XYZ?

I’ve had a lot of dental work done in Spain (I have a holiday home there), including extractions, crowns and lately dental implants. The cost is about 1/4 of the price in the UK and far, far superior facilities.

Hi poll Queen did you go to interdental?

My daughter flew to the Algarve for dental work. Dentist was lovely, spoke good English so was able to have a proper chat about what needed doing. Cost slightly less than half what it cost here. Flight was £16 return.

I paid 4k for treatment here - UK, 2 friends have had extensive treatment in Turkey, no issues at all.
Personally, i would go to Portugal, EU regulated, nice place for a hol.

My partner is currently getting 3 implants done in Spain for a cost of about €5.5k. It does take several months though.
