It was on in the late nineties. It was a series but I didn't see all of it so never found out what happened and always wondered.
What I remember is an already wealthy family win a big prize and are featured in the local paper.
The oldest daughter (maybe 17?) is lured out of a nightclub by a woman claiming she's doing a photoshoot. The woman and her boyfriend kidnap the girl and demand ransom from her family.
The girl has sex with the male kidnapper.
The family pay the ransom and the girl is released. They have to sell their house and take the youngest daughter out of private school.
The girl finds out she's pregnant and says she's keeping the baby.
I also remember that the girl's best friend was always talking about how much sex she was having with her boyfriend. Before the kidnapping the girl was kind of in awe of her but afterwards she was irritated with her.
And the female kidnapper said something about when she was a little girl her mum would sometimes give her a coin and say if she put it in the box she could save up enough to buy a dolly. Eventually she found out the box was the electric meter.
The male kidnapper felt guilty when he saw that the family's house was up for sale.
