trains in Sicily - Palermo to Messina

Hi, does anyone have experience with the train from Palermo to Messina? There will be 4 of us with potentially 6 suitcases! Is there good storage space for luggage on the train, does anyone know?

Not gone from Palermo so messina but I’ve been on many trains from Palermo and the trains are very good. You’ll be able to store your luggage
