Vinted - seller has sent me the wrong item, what happens next?

Seller has messaged, she knows that she has mixed up two parcels as her other buyer has been in touch to say she has received the wrong one

My parcel hasn't arrived yet. Tracking says it should be delivered today, before 16.30. It hasn't arrived yet.

Seller has sent me her address to return the parcel to her.
I'm not sure what the correct procedure is or what options I have.

Do I have to pay the postage to send it back to her, or does she pay?

To make matters worse I go on holiday in two days.

Any advice appreciated.

When this happened to me she sent me a postage label. Then she also paid postage for the correct item. I gave her a good review, these things happen

When I did this accidentally, I asked if the buyer would be happy to keep the order, for free of course, so they didn’t have the hassle of having to return. Both said they were happy to do this

Thanks both of you. Seller has messaged me with her address to return the item when it arrives. I have asked about the cost but no answer to my question.

A seller did this to me, if was fine. She paid for the postage label back through Vinted, I dropped it off and got my cash back!

Did you all mark that there is an issue and report under SNAD?

But then I have 5 days to return and I'm not here…then what?

Yes open dispute and Vinted will contact the seller.You should receive a paid postage label.The seller should then send you your item.

She is saying she will re-list my item and I can buy it again if I want to.

I assume if I open a case because I have an issue, I only have a set amount of time to return the item and I'm not here. Will the sale complete leaving me paying for an item I don't want?

I know it happens…could just do without it.

Really stuck now. Parcel hasn't arrived and I'm going today away. This will need returning within five days and I can't.
Is it unreasonable, given that this is the sellers mistake, that I ask she offers that I don't return and refunds, on the understanding I return when I get back from my holiday. I will return it to her at that point.

My thinking is otherwise this sale is going to complete and I'm going to pay for an item I neither ordered or want. ( and haven't seen).
