Can anybody identify these for me

I found these on an old tree. I usually pick sloes to make sloe gin in September. These look the same colour but bigger. I think sloes are usually on prickly bushes.

Can anybody identify these for me

They look like damsons - also nice in gin.

Ah thanks very much. Damson gin it will be! I did stew some up with a couple of tablespoons of sugar. They're delicious. Will be good for porridge or cereal.

The nicest Jam I have ever made or tasted was damson, I still think about it twenty years later.
