UC bank details change - appointment?

Hi. I updated my bank details on the 17th of July, and my journal shows the entries confirming my change but then it also showed a messaging saying “book an appointment” for the change but that also said “completed” and there is nothing in my to-do list; that just says I have no to-do’s.

I did message asking if need to book an appointment, but no one has replied to my journal message. I’m starting to worry as I’m due the payment on the 11th. I only get a small top up but I don’t want to miss it or have them refuse it send it or something.

I’ve attached the journal messages; I just don’t know if I need to make an appointment or not as it says completed and there is nothing to-do… but maybe the completed means that I’ve “completed a bank change” and need the appointment?

Confusing messages! The top journal message looks like it's saying the 'book appointment about your new bank details' is 'completed'. But as you say, the only thing you have actually done is declare the changes to your bank account (the bottom message).

I work in the UC advice area (not for the DWP) but have never seen this before (probably not worked with anyone who's changed their bank account).

I suppose changing your bank details may require an 'appointment' to ensure it's genuine?

But, if you have no to dos, that does suggest there are no outstanding tasks for you.

Are you sure there aren't details of an appointment noted somewhere else? I know when other appointments are booked with UC, there would be an appointment noted somewhere (not as a to do, if the appointment has been made).

You could ring the UC helpline?

There’s nothing else on the journal at all since last reported income (self employed so report income every month) but I’m always over the minimum income floor so never have any other messages or meetings.
If there was a meeting, they always just put it in the journal. The only thing are the entires from my updated details, and then that one saying to book an appointment. I did ask, but they haven’t replied so I might actually just pop in tomorrow morning and see if the welcome desk is open and just ask them face to face.

When I changed banks I just had to take my bank card into my local job centre to show it was me doing it, and that I had proof of new bank details. Was super quick. I’d nip into your local job centre and ask if worried

I just checked my journal. I changed mg bank details last October and had the same entries but never booked an appointment or had any correspondence about it. Have been paid fine since
