Where to stay in Budapest

I've read lots of threads about things to do as part of a city break, but could do with any recommendations as to where to stay, if anyone has stayed anywhere great. We are looking for an apartment with two or three rooms rather than a hotel. I'm a bit overwhelmed with choice, and then the ones that look good either have some negative reviews about cleanliness or seem to be further out. Thanks!

We stayed in the Opera Garden Hotel & Apartments. We found it great and a perfect location. However, it is fundamentally two bedrooms with the kitchen off the bedroom as you come in, so it's not somewhere with a proper separate sitting room, if that's what you are looking for. There's another opera hotel, so don't confuse the two! Our only complaint was that it was too warm!

DH and I went in Nov last year and stayed here

It was just the 2 of us, but the 2 bed apartment was better value than a single, but I assume that was due to being off season. Its in the Jewish quarter and we walked everywhere. Plenty of restaurants nearby, along with transport links a short walk if needed. Very clean, quiet, 24hr English speaking reception, and secure within an new, smallish apartment block.

In the heart of Budapest, just 250 meters away from vibrant Gozsdu udvar, and a mere 50 meters from the beloved Kazinczy Street.
