DS2 aged 18 found a small hard lump under his tongue about a month or so ago. GP wasn’t sure what it was so referred him to max-fax at our local hospital but thought it might be a salivary stone. We got an OPD appointment through pretty quick, saw a doc on Wednesday who referred him for a biopsy. Didn’t think it was anything sinister but again wasn’t sure what it was. Got a phone call yesterday morning to arrange a biopsy for this morning. Biopsy done, salivary stone confirmed and out by 11:15. X ray done to confirm no further stones. So efficient and professional, came out to explain after care. So thumbs up RBH NHS trust ! One very relieved mum and son !
Having spoken to a few other friends, they’re also having similar experiences with quick referrals etc. Not sure if this is just a local blip or more countrywide !
