Has anyone ever rented a motorhome?

Currently booking a holiday to France, and since our last car broke down over there about 4yrs ago, I’m reluctant to drive our own again… despite it being a different, newer car with less mileage!… The paranoia is already there!

Considering hiring a motor home. Has anyone got experiences of doing this? Cheers

Yes but what aspect do you want to know about?

Yes, we hired a motorhome a few years ago before kids and spent some time in the North of England and into Scotland. It was so different to any other trip we've taken before. I'm not sure we'd do it again while the kids are so young, maybe wait until they're a little older. We hired ours from Melling Motorhomes, the service was excellent, a big fleet with plenty of options and it came kitted with everything we could need while on the road.

Yes. It was great apart from the fact that if you want to go somewhere - out for the day - you have to take everything with you.

Yes we drove to Italy. We now have our own.
