Teenage lads are wonderful.

My teenage daughter (very nearly 18) went out to a cocktail party this evening with predictable results.

Her lovely boyfriend got her home in one piece, he hasn't been drinking at all and got a strange text from her and went on the bus to get her. I've been messaging her all night checking up with no reply.

Teenage lads get a hard time but in my experience they are all absolutely lovely

No not all, most of them. Same as girls.

How lovely to read this. My experience so far is very similar.

As a mother of 3 (now adult) sons, I was with you until the last sentence.

You know full well that not all teenage boys or girls are all absolutely lovely.

However, it sounds as though this one is and that's really nice for your daughter.

My 14 year old is genuinely lovely. He doesn't get into any bother, does well at school and has a range of interesting activities that he does. And he loves his mum!

Yes. Mine is wonderful but just turned 20). He is polite, hard working, treats his girlfriend very well, a feminist, visits elderly grandparents often, helps me out with lots of things, has lovely friends both male and female, great with his young cousins, never caused me any trouble.
