Help! 10 days to holiday and I’ve forgotten to diet…

Or more accurately, been putting it off! BMI of about 28 and not as toned as I’d like to be. What can I realistically do in 10 days? Is it possible to lose a few pounds? Maybe even half a stone so that my holiday clothes sit ok? I’m thinking lots of veg, protein, water and brisk walks. I run a few times a week so will keep that going too. I’m so annoyed with myself but I am where I am and it’s my own fault. Any tips?

Realistically I don't think there is much you can do in 10 days, so maybe just concentrate on not caring and being confident in yourself as you are. Or stand next to someone bigger!

Chill out, enjoy yourself for the next ten days and during your holiday. Eat well and exercise when you get back and you'll be a healthy person and a healthy weight.

May just buy some bigger clothes so that they look a bit loose then! DH and teenagers are all v slim

Just go and enjoy! Comfy clothes that are a bit more glam than your usual and fake tan if you use it. Forget about weight

Well if you cut out carbs and eat lots of salad and protein(chicken, nuts, fish), you could probably fit into last year’s clothes. Or, as others have said, buy new clothes.

I think I was a stone ish lighter last year. Hopefully I can do enough just to be less bloated before I go. It’s a combination of menopause and lack of willpower

For the sake of a holiday and only 10 days to go, I really wouldn’t stress about loosing weight beforehand only to no doubt put it all and maybe plus a few pounds back on during the holiday.

RantzNotBantz · 29/07/2025 15:20

Oh no! Can you cancel?

Re-book for next year when you will like Beyonce?

Otherwise, relax, enjoy yourself and observe (discreetly) that the majority of other women on the beach have not cancelled or gone on crash diets etc.

More concerned about my clothes being uncomfortable than feeling uncomfortable or terrifying small children with my rolls. Feeling a shopping trip coming on and maybe step away from the junk food for a few weeks at least

Realistically all you can do is shop. Buy some clothes that make you feel good. Id also get brows,Mani & pedi because I always feel better after.

Who diets to go on holiday? Is that a thing?
