Has anyone never been single?

I mean obviously at one point you were, but has anyone never really been alone in adult life? My example, in a relationship from 15 to 19. I was single for 3 months, then met DH. We are still together, 25 years later. I have never known adult life as a single woman. This isn’t a complaint, I’m just wondering how common it is?

I guess I've never been single. Hadn't occurred to me before.

I met DH when I was 16, got engaged at 18 and married at 20. I've been with him him for my entire adult life. The only time I'll be single now is if he dies before I do!

Not since I was 14. Which was well over 45 years ago. I’ve nothing against being single at all but it’s just how it turned out. I’ve never been dumped either. Had plenty of fun while I was younger too due to one relationship being quite open. I’ve only ever had lovely boyfriends too. I think fondly of the guys I dated as a teen. I had zero teen drama. I had a definite type which were nice guys who were very academic and good looking. I’m not bad looking but I’ve never been academic.

This was me before exh and I broke up. From ages 17 to 33 I spent 9 months in total single. 3 relationships in that time, I just didn’t spend much time single between all of them. I’ve now been single for almost 5 years.

Never been single as an adult. Have had pretty much back to back long term relationships since I was 17. With DP 15 yrs - I’m early 50’s. Regret having had that need to be constantly in a relationship. I think I’d have enjoyed my 20s and probably my 30s a lot more single. Think I would have figured myself out a bit better too

I have been, but never for long, and I've hated it. I just feel better when I have a person. I've been happily married for 8 years now and I'm glad I'll (hopefully) never be single again.

No, never single from aged 18. Been together almost thirty years now. I have friends who are single, friends who've been single, friends who have never been single, and friends who want to be single. All seems very normal to me, but having reflected on this as I have, I do seem to know a large number of people who went on one date with someone and have been joined at the hip ever since. I'm one of them.

I was in relationships for most of my 20s. Been single since my 30s. I would actually love to have been with the same person since my teens. I'm not sure why, I think some people are that way.

My first bf at 17 who I dumped for some unfathomable reason was great but is now taken. Ditto second bf from 18-22. All my choices got worse after that.

I'm 70 and never been single.

Went straight from first husband to second husband.

First marriage 16 years, one child.

Second marriage 33 years, two children.
Still going 😊

There were obviously some times when I was technically single between boyfriends, or some times when the FWB wasn’t actually a “boyfriend”

But haven’t been single single for a long time no. I never really think about it to be honest. It’s just how life has panned out.

I am now for the first time. Met husband at 15 and together till I was 33 we have two kids. I’ve been single for the last year and honestly it’s liberating

Not since I was 17 ... I've been in 3 long term relationships but there have been slight overlaps 😳 I wanted to after my second relationship but my now DH wouldn't have a bar of it

Not really maybe 6 months aged 20. Not since then. Never lived alone.

Not since I was 17, no. Met DH at 23. I did want to be single and would have been very happy but it never quite happened that way.

My parents were each other's only bf/gf and were married for over 50 years until DF died the same with my inlaws, they made it to 60 years.
I married my first proper boyfriend (over thirty years ago now).
DC1 is probably more unusual because he was only born in the mid 90s. He married his first gf. They were sixteen when they met, married two years ago (after twelve years together), and recently became parents.
DC2 is still with his first gf (5 years), although no plans to marry any time soon as they're only in their very early twenties.
DC3 is only nineteen and has only had one serious girlfriend. They've been together about six months.
