I’m trying to find the perfect green but I’m struggle.

Some look too minty, some too blue, some to dirty olive. . I want a lovely sage, but as it’s going in every wall I don’t want it too dark.

please share if you have found the perfect green.

We went with Dunelm Sage green for our lounge. It’s often commented on

Ours is Johnstone’s Natural Sage. I think it looks a little lighter than the picture. It’s in a south facing room

Not sure if this is what you’re after but I’ve a couple of nice farrow and ball greens in my house - Arsenix in living room and Yeabrdge Green in hallway/landings

We have Dulux overtly olive, which is a nice soft warm shade of green.

My parents have this too in their lounge and it’s a lovely shade.

We have Crown Light Fern on our full living room and are really happy with the colour. We sampled quite a few of the colours mentioned in this thread. We wanted quite a muted sage and this was perfect. Our living room is quite bright which lifts the colour a little from how it looks on the Crown website. We were worried it could have been a bit murky looking but it hasn't turned out that way.

Windmill Lane by Little Greene

Dulux overtly olive. It’s gorgeous.

wobblyweasel · 28/07/2025 22:41

Not a sage green, but I love the emerald shade I chose for the library. Think it was a dulux paint

What colour wood work and doors are people putting with their green walls? I find white too stark

AliceMcK · 28/07/2025 23:02

We have just done our chimney breast and lower part of the room with panelling in Valspar Scottish Kilt Green, the rest of the room in Dulux Sage.

We had planned on the attached Laura Ashley wallpaper but nothing about our old house is standard or easy to decorate so we decided painting the sage colour was the easy option.

I haven’t included actual photos but photos of similar style and colours we’ve done.

F&B mizzle is a subtle sage green

FateAmenableToChange · 28/07/2025 23:15

Mines Lick Green 01 its lovely and quite warm for a green, also looks nice with white.

Twodogsonthecouch · 28/07/2025 23:21

Dulux pure jute. Might be too dark for you though.

We have a green carpet and green cushions and I've been looking for curtains in the right shade for months.

I want a darkish natural shade of leafy green and can't find anything anywhere.

Imusthavemademydeskaroundaquaterafternine · 28/07/2025 23:46

I detest bold colours on walls, as I find it oppressive and I can go off things very quickly. If I want bold, dark, and feature-full I can pop to a Wetherspoons for couple of hours.

However, I adore colour, I love green, and for over 25 years have always had Dulux Apple White on every wall of the living room in all but one place I have lived. It is the weakest shade of green I have seen, and provides a huge clean back-drop for all the dark green bits & pieces I own. I like my walls & ceilings bright, and floors & curtains dark to contrast with it.

We have “Green Stone” by Little Greene paint in ours and love it.

Old white, farrow and ball. Half the house is painted in it. So beautiful and relaxing.

Cososom · 29/07/2025 19:50

Mylands' Stockwell Green in our north-facing sitting room. It's described as an avocado green but it's really more olive-y on our walls. Love it, and Mylands' paint is excellent quality. Our painter decribed it as like painting with double cream!
