What have you recently bought just because you wanted it rather than needed it?
I’ve ordered 4 dresses from next in the sale even though my wardrobe is bulging with dresses! They are my guilty pleasure.
Ive also just bought new underwear from marks, some that I needed but some that I just wanted!!
Im fortunate to have had started a new job and have a little bit more disposable income that I’ve never been in a position to have before so I’m enjoying treating myself!

Perfume. Minya by Paris Corner. Not expensive but I didn't need it and could easily have done without. Very nice though.

frozendaisy · 27/07/2025 14:28

Two additional books on Edward Hopper

A Mulberry Mini Alexa handbag which was reduced in the John Lewis sale . Absolutely don’t need it. But I love it and the leather smells divine ❤️ . And OP my wardrobe is bulging too! But I figure if you’re working and have a bit of disposable income then why not . Life’s too short.

This might be a strange one but I've brought more than enough school uniform for my daughter that I don't have to worry about doing the washing/making sure she has a spare etc for two weeks at a time.

A new sofa set! Had ours almost 15 years and while still in great condition, I was bored, so saved up and bought one of been eyeing up for a while

Karistyleaftea · 27/07/2025 15:31

I've just bought a 100 Stars kimono belt.
I have no waist so may never wear it but it was in the sale and so pretty!
enjoy your books @frozendaisy I love Edward Hopper.

A large box of super duper expensive Dr Gross peel pads for my ageing face!

Karistyleaftea · 27/07/2025 15:51

@MounjaroMounjaro Good for you!
(I found out about !00 stars on here so I am not wholly responsible, ha ha.)
Enjoy, you will look gorgeous in it.

Arrgh @Karistyleaftea why did you post that? I've just gone onto 100 Stars and bought this: Valentine Orange Gown – One Hundred Stars because of you!

This!! Just now!

It”s gorgeous.

Thank you @MounjaroMounjaro

Don't blame me, blame @Karistyleaftea !

It's so lovely - I saw it a few months ago and wanted it, but couldn't justify spending £90 on it. £45 seemed a bargain in comparison!

Beautifulsunflowers · 27/07/2025 16:17

Oh my gosh that orange gown……
stop!! Mustn’t spend anymore!!

I blame you both 🤣

I thought sod it and bought pretty much a complete new wardrobe of holiday clothes. And I've enjoyed wearing them.

The holiday was an impulse thing a few months ago when we realised outr girls were quickly growing up and we had never done the summer holiday hotel type trip. Theyve loved it.

Several festival tickets!

Got the next 12 months of festivals mapped out - super excited 😊

Although they include a SOLO ticket to a festival I’ve never been to, in a country I don’t live in, so TBC if I actually make that one (got carried away after seeing footage of the festival this year - looked incredible). Might make a MN thread to help me decide if I should go on my own 😅

Books, perfume, posh chocolate
Not necessary at all, but so very enjoyed 😀
