kinda urgent! Present for kids "summer party"

An invitation came in for DDs best friends "summer party". Told DD and she was the one who realised it was strange because her best friend has her birthday in winter. The kids are 8 and the girl didn't have a bday party last year.
The party is in 30 mins. Do I do a card and cash? (Generally everyone does cash for birthday presents in our group)

Is it a summer get together rather than a birthday party? Ie no need for a present.

Yeah do. Mu DD has her birthday Xmas eve so we will do a "summer party" when she's older

Well no if she normally has a birthday party in winter. It’s like you having a summer party or bbq. People might bring wine/beer etc to a party you hosted - not sure what kid equivalent to that is!

I usually take a little something like cupcakes or flowers for the mum. Similar to how you’d take a bottle of wine or something as a dinner guest.
