Is it particularly difficult today? It’s 6.50pm and only 145 have managed to solve it. I got 970 very early on but haven’t progressed any further.

@Berlinloverit’s not that strange a word but is a weird one to clue for as it isn’t as common as its main synonyms and is not the commonest word from its root word IYSWIM.
say if you need a picture clue, I’ve thought of one.

@Berlinlover I took a hundred guesses from 970, it ends the same but the link in meaning is a bit sideways.
