If you could be any size/shape you wanted, what would you be?

Just curious! If you could snap your fingers and choose your ideal body FOR YOU at your stage of life, what would you choose? You can hypothetically eat whatever you want and remain your chosen shape.

I would choose size 10 (so fitting current clothes size 8), gentle hourglass, smallish breasts.
I have been that (and bigger and smaller) and this was the easiest for being able to wear almost anything, and feeling light on my feet without being too gaunt. I felt really healthy.

Oh I didn't realise you were limiting shapes to humanoid. I was going to opt to be the shape of a kitten and the size of Godzilla, like at the end of the Lego Ninjago movie.

BlueBelle7979 · 23/07/2025 06:28

Size 10/12, smaller boobs, less tum, more rounded bum. If I could only take it off my boobs and put it on my bum...

edited to add:- and smaller ears

I’m 6ft 1, would like to keep my height but be a size 14, currently a 22/24. When I was younger I was a size 8/10 didn’t look good at my height and as I’m now pushing 50 I think being that thin again would make me look older. I would also like normal size feet, I currently wear a man’s 11!!

KPPlumbing · 23/07/2025 06:55

I love the shape I am at 41 and 5ft4 - a gym-fit, toned, hour glass size 8 with a perfect bum! I just wish I had the same boobs I had when I was 1/2 a stone heavier.

AntiquePenguin · 23/07/2025 07:04

I'd like to be long-limbed with a small frame, and flat-chested, and slightly taller, say 5'6. Basically the opposite of what I am now - short limbed, stocky, big boobs, thick wrists and ankles, 5'4.

Bobbybobbins · 23/07/2025 07:26

I’m a 10/12 and would prefer to be an 8/10 pre kids with smaller boobs. I have size 7 feet which do look ridiculous sometimes.

SunnyPrague · 23/07/2025 07:42

I’m a size 12 on top because I have big boobs (34F) and a size 10 on the bottom.
I’m 5’4 with a longer body and shorter legs.

I would love:
34C boobs so size 10 at the top as well as the bottom
Longer legs
Taller - 5’6

I've got big feet too! I'm a size 6 at 5ft4. I look like a hobbit!

Perfectlystill · 23/07/2025 07:53

Half a stone thinner than I am.

MauraLabingi · 23/07/2025 08:39

Well this kind of went how I expected, as in almost everyone wants to be between size 8-14 (I think two people wanted to be a 16).
But I really wasn't expecting most people to want small breasts. Interesting! I wanted small ones because they are easier to dress, and bigger ones bounce when I run. I wonder if that's similar for most of you too - convenience trumps society's typically preferred aesthetic?

I’m 5’7 which is fine.

After 3 pregnancies my weight has crept up to 12 stone.

In an ideal world I’d like to be around 10 stone and probably comfortably wearing a size 12 on bottom, 10 on top.

At the moment I say I’m a 14 on bottom but in reality I think I’m more of a 16.

I like my shape, just not the layer of fat that’s over it.

Even when slim I think I’m probably more of a pear than hourglass, as relatively small bust, and I’m pleasantly surprised to see quite a few comments from people who would like to be a pear.

I’ve never really thought of pear shaped as being desirable but I guess it is.

I would like more toned arms so I could wear sleeveless / short sleeved tops, and a tighter jawline.

Bbq1 · 23/07/2025 09:13

I'd have my 20s body back and and a couple of inches height back. That would put me at 5ft 3. I quite like being small in height although ideally I suppose 5ft 6 would be better. I was slim but curvy in my 20s, an hourglass. I haven't given up regaining something similar to that shape yet. I have one ds and I think I pretty much lost the weight post pregnancy, but I have had 2 serious bouts of ill health, treatment, medication and operations which I think has caused my current weight gain. Thinking about WLI.

MrsGuyOfGisbo · 23/07/2025 09:15

Happy with my body shape, 5’6 an d size 10-12, other than remove the overhang from 2 caesarians.

Inthesmallclouds · 23/07/2025 09:35

I’m 5’3 and very petite and size 6/8 but have a 28G chest 😣which I’ve always hated and been very conscious of.
i would love to be pear shape with a big bum and tiny boobs as I find this so much more attractive.

im heavily pregnant and have found a new admiration and love for my body ….women’s bodies are bloody amazing!!!

Edited

Try being a size 9 - white trainers make me look like an actual clown 😂

I was just reading some online posts about EDs earlier and it seems the default setting for women to hate their bodies and want to be something else? Isn't that kind of depressing? Shouldn't be be kinder to our bodies and give them what they need, instead of fighting them? But maybe that's just the ex-ED community.

I'll be honest, I'm really happy with my size/shape. I'm a tallish size 8/10 (well mostly an 8 but hourglass shape = bigger boobs --> sometimes need to size up for top half), for me maintaining muscle tone as well as curves at the same time is where I want to be. I work out quite a bit these days and love seeing some visible/tangible muscle on my arms and legs.

If I could have anything, a couple of inches off my waist, and no fat storage in weird areas such as knees, but honestly I'm happy. But I put both mental and physical work in to feel positive about myself, didn't used to always feel that way and it was a journey to get here. Would love it it if happiness and body confidence would be the default setting for girls from a young age, life's too short to wish to be someone else.

DemonsandMosquitoes · 26/07/2025 15:31

5ft 9 which I am. Long slender legs, slim hips and medium boobs which have. I would like my arms to be slimmer and have more of a waist.
So me, but the me of about thirty years ago!

foreveryoung100 · 26/07/2025 19:44

I’m pear shape, 5ft 3 and at 47 more happy with my body I have ever been. When I was young and size 6/8 I hated the bigger hips/bum but having gained a lot more weight feel better proportioned. Only thing I would love is perkier breasts and less cellulite (I have quite a lot).

I am very happy with my imperfect body too. This thread wasn't intended to be about that! It was meant to be completely unrealistic fantasy body (hence the caveat that you can eat anything you want). It's perfectly possible to be happy with your body but also to think, "If I could design myself from scratch I would..."

I suppose I was interested in whether real women would all want to have the stereotypically fashionable body shape, and thankfully this thread shows that no we do not. Everyone wants to be a healthy size, which is sensible, but there's a wide range of what shape people would like to be. Especially the two people who want to be a hexagon.
