Is anyone else feeling under the weather this week?

Not been feeling good since the weekend - really tired, body aches, headache won’t shift, feeling sicky, very frustrating considering it’s the summer. Is anyone else feeling the same?

It must just be me!

Yes, I am just laying here in my lunch break as I’m working from home feeling sick and just generally rundown been going on For about a week though, and it never really comes out as such

Bimblebombles · 22/07/2025 13:43

I have felt nauseous on and off in last day or two, but no vomit. Very tired and apathetic feeling.

Cloud44 · 22/07/2025 13:46

It must be a virus of some sort, the headache and body aches are annoying!

My pain levels have been bad this past few days (arthritis).
Since l retired last year, l've rarely had to take any pain meds (it was a fairly physical job, so eased a lot when l retired) but this past week l've had to take strong painkillers almost every day.

I’ve felt dreadful all week. I think it’s the weather. It feels like there so much pressure on my head and body, and I can’t get enough air. Feel sick and constant headache too.

letsallchant · 22/07/2025 13:56

Me too! Tired and out of sorts.

blobby10 · 22/07/2025 14:12

I've felt lousy for a couple of weeks but put it down to the weather - haven't had the aches and pains some of you describe but definitely lethargic, brain foggy, grumpy etc. I do think it is partly the muggy and humid atmosphere right now but also I'm using my phone and laptop too much for doom-scrolling and playing games but its a bit of a vicious circle as I only do this when I'm feeling miserable and out of sorts but it makes me miserable and out of sorts.................

ChiefCakeTestertoMaryBerry · 22/07/2025 14:19

I was like that last weekend. Lots of sneezing, runny nose and generally felt tired and rubbish.

TwelfthOfNever · 22/07/2025 14:22

I hate it when the temperature is over 20 and humidity is over 70; it's both of these. I feel crushed in the skull and have a wraparound headache as well. Sympathy to all!

There were four people out sick just before my five days off, five days where I had plans to make up to the kids for no holidays this year with trips, games etc. Then dh got sick so decided to cut down on plans and next thing I know every spare moment involves me deciding I need to lie down again. I am exhausted with a dodgy tummy. Now holiday is simply cleaning, board games, back to bed then up to get kids off devices (come on, more board games!). Hope it eases for everyone, dreading work Thursday

Steelworks · 22/07/2025 14:34

Yes, woke up a bit headaches, and feel lethargic.

Iloveeverycat · 22/07/2025 14:40

Cloud44 · 22/07/2025 14:54

Literally me too (not the physical job, but all the rest), and also tired, rundown and was sick one evening. Not enough to be "ill" but enough to be "of my game". I think it is the changeable weather.

Cloud44 · 22/07/2025 17:57

Yes i wonder if the changeable weather is contributing

Urgh still feeling pretty rubbish.

I like warmth, but not this sun-less humidity loitering around aimlessly.

I went for a walk yesterday and came back a dripping mess, not because it was particularly warm or because I was particularly exerted but just because there was no evaporation so it all just dripped.

I feel like it's just messing with my body's signals and it disrupts me and my concentration.

Cloud44 · 23/07/2025 13:06

I think it’s more of a virus than the weather for me. Feel knackered, I haven’t thought about Covid for ages but I’m wondering if it’s that

Def could be Covid it's doing the rounds again. We came back from a trip away middle of last week. DS was feeling a bit under the weather before we came back, and then I started with the cold/sneezing/feeling rough a day or so later. Did an old Covid test at the weekend as haven't felt that bad for ages, and it quickly came up with a firm positive. The friends we travelled with had also been feeling dodgy and they've tested positive too. Feeling mostly better now, just a bit of a residual cough.
