Boring question about washing and travelling!

I'm a seasoned self caterer and have a box of goodies (just returned from a trip where none of the 4 places we stayed had a baking tray!?) as it just makes life easier.

One thing I didn't have to think about was washing as there were no machines. I'm going on a longer trip soon where I will need to use the machines (two different places) but I've found in the past there isn't always a clothes horse/airer. Has anyone found anything that helps with this?I have seen the retractable line things but that relies on having something to attach it to. I also wondered about a clothes rail? Thank you.

I just googled over door airers and a few came up, they might do the job especially for drying underwear and tshirts.

I was going to say a stretchy washing line too.

I have one that is two lengths of elastic twisted together so you can the material between the twists instead of using pegs. You don't have to hook the end hooks directly onto things - I often route the cord round a fence post or narrow tree trunk and hook it back onto the cord, IYKWIM.
